World Environment DayIn celebration of World Environment Day, Honourable Prime Minister launched a significant campaign for tree plantation. The campaign, titled #EkPedMaaKeNaam and #Plant4Mother.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of tree planting not only as a tribute to our mothers but also as a crucial step towards protecting trees and nurturing Mother Earth.

Shiksha Saptah and the Fourth Anniversary of NEP 2020
Coinciding with the campaign, from July 22-28, 2024, India observed Shiksha Saptah, a nationwide week-long program dedicated to different aspects of learning and development in schools across the country.
The final day, July 27, 2024, was proposed to be celebrated as Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE Day. This day was dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and action within school communities.

On 27/7/2024, City Montessori Gomti Nagar Extension organized a significant plantation drive to observed the Shiksha Saptah.

The program began with speech of Director Nbri provided informative words on the significance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change.
Following this Senior Principal Maam Manjeet Batra led the eminent guest,parents and students in reading the ‘Save Environment’ pledge, reinforcing our commitment to protecting the planet.

After the pledge, the highlight of the day was the tree planting activity which was done under Students, alongside their mothers, eagerly participated in planting a variety of saplings within the school premises. This activity not only beautified our campus but also instilled a sense of responsibility and connection to nature among the l personalize their efforts, they tagged their trees by writing their names on labels, ensuring a lasting connection to the tree they planted.

Mrs Shalini Shrivastava.

The tree plantation campaign on thematic observance of Shiksha Saptah underscore the importance of integrating environmental responsibility into our daily lives and educational systems.
