In a rapidly changing world, empowering future generations with knowledge, skills, and a passion for sustainability is no longer optional; it is imperative. The Eureka International Science and Environment Olympiad (EISEO 2025) is a part of our thematic campaign “Shaping a Sustainable Future”. It seeks to inspire young minds to tackle the pressing environmental challenges of our time. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a culture of innovation, creativity, and responsible stewardship that will propel humanity toward a better future.

Science and the environment are inseparable. Science equips us with the tools to understand the natural world, while the environment reminds us why those tools are essential. By nurturing curiosity and encouraging experimentation, Eureka provides young learners with a platform to discover their talents, challenge boundaries, and reach their fullest potential.

The spirit of healthy competition lies at the heart of this Olympiad. It inspires participants to strive for excellence, learn from mistakes, and develop the resilience and determination that are vital for success. Yet, while we celebrate achievements, we also recognise the enormity of the challenges ahead: climate change, environmental degradation, and social inequality demand immediate and thoughtful action.

Eureka is more than a competition. It is a call to awareness, responsibility, and action where students are encouraged to think critically, innovate sustainably, and embrace collaboration across borders. This experience fosters self-confidence, holistic development, and a global perspective, shaping leaders who are intellectually adept, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible.

We extend our heartfelt invitation to all the participants and school leaders.

As Henry David Thoreau wisely said,

“What’s the use of a fine house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?”
