Teaching is more than imparting knowledge, it is inspiring change. Learning is more than absorbing facts, it is acquiring understanding.— William Arthur Ward

Childhood is the world of miracles or of magic: it is as if creation rose luminously out of the night, all new and astonishing. Childhood is over the moment and things are no longer astonishing. When the world gives you a feeling of “déjà vu,” when you are used to existence, you become an adult.

Eureka aims to nurture the longing for discovery and innovation in young children. This is done through various competitions based on Science, Technology and Environment, which would be new experiences for most children of Primary and the Junior grades.

Often children do not even know what latent talents they have until they get an opportunity to discover them through such competitions. Once they start off, the sky is the limit for them to reach.

At the same time children are encouraged to become more sensitive and aware of important contemporary issues such as environmental protection and climate change.

After all, these are issues that they will have to face and tackle in their life. I believe that the Eureka experience is bound to enhance their self-esteem and further develop their personality.

I extend my heartiest congratulations to Mrs Trapti Dwivedi, Principal of CMS Anand Nagar and her dedicated staff for organizing this most interesting event.
