Origami Activity

Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into various realistic or decorative shapes. Learning how to fold paper is the basis of Origami. It is a fascinating activity which involves folding paper in specific patterns and sequences to achieve a particular goal. It enhances patience and capability to focus. Students were thrilled to participate in this activity. They demonstrated their sense of achievement after achieving their goal successfully.


Diya Painting Activity

Students of class V participated in Diya Painting activity. They brought their own materials . They painted diyas in different shapes and sizes. They had fun together painting them using vibrant colours and various objects brilliantly. It was a pleasure witnessing young artists expressing their creativity enthusiastically.


Needle Work

Whether girl or a boy each child should know how to sew few stitches. Keeping this in mind this activity was organised for students of Class IV. All students participated with full enthusiasm. They practiced hemming and running stitch. Students were very careful while using the needles and teachers were also fully engrossed with them.


Plate Decoration Activity

Students of Class III took up the activity to decorate plates to bring out the artist in them. They brought their own material and used them brilliantly to decorate their plates as per their choice. They were quite thrilled to see the end result.


Textile Craft Activity

Buttons are a good source of input to various craft projects. Students of Class I showcased their creativity by using buttons in various shapes, sizes and colours to create beautiful craft work. They decorated the picture of a snail using these colourful buttons.


Just A Minute

Students were asked to pick up chits for the topics. Each participant got one minute to think over the topic. This activity was intended to give an opportunity to the students to shake off their diffidence and to build up their self-confidence


Inter House Debate Competition

An Inter House Debate Competition was organised for ISC students on 27th April, 2018 and for ICSE students on 5th May, 2018.

The topics for ISC was "Conservation and Development can Go Hand - In - Hand" and for ICSE Was "Poverty is the Greatest Threat to the Environment"

Astronomy Workshop

An Astronomy workshop for promotion of space science was organised by Labrynthe at CMS Kanpur Road Campus on 3rd May, 2018. This organisation aims at conducting educational programmes to create a scientifically aware society by empowering the young minds. Ms. Garima Malik, the Chief of Operation conducted an interactive session with students of class IX and showed them some spectacular experiments.


Historic Moot Court Competition

An inter-house moot court competition took place at WUCC,CMS Kanpur Road Branch on 5th May, 2018 from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. The event was organised by the branch house coordinator Ms Mudita Kumar.This was the first time that such an event was conducted at the school level in the city of Lucknow and the second time at school level in the country.The topic for the Moot Court Session was ‘State of Maharashtra vs. Jollywood actor Sanjeev Kapoor in the hit and run case’. The panel of distinguished Jury Members comprised:

  1. Mr. Debjyoti Das- CEO, Clat Possible and a graduate from H.N.L.U., Raipur batch of 2010.
  2. Mr. Abhishek Kumar- A graduate from R.M.L.N.L.U. who has represented India at the Jessup International Rounds in Washington.
  3. Ms. Shubham Tripathi- An R.M.L.N.L.U. alumna. She taught in Amity University, Lucknow as a Lecturer.
  4. Ms. Vertika Verma- An R.M.L.N.L.U. alumna with a rich teaching experience of more than five years in the field of Law.

The historic event was held in three phases-(Quarters, Semis and Finals)

The order of proceedings was as follows-

  1. Prosecution Speaker 1

  3. Respondent Speaker 1
  4. Respondent Speaker 2
  5. Rebuttal (Prosecution questions)
  6. Sur Rebuttal (Respondent questions)

The Judges asked questions throughout the proceedings and the participants performed brilliantly balancing their arguments with the answers to the honourable judges.

They scored highly on knowledge of facts, substance in arguments and court etiquettes.

The final round was held between Peace house (1) and Love house (1) teams. This round was intense and interesting and the participants presented their arguments eloquently and convincingly.

Final Results

  1. The THIRD prize was bagged by the team of Gurpreet and Anamika of Unity House(1).
  2. The SECOND prize was bagged by the team of Vansh and Rama of Love House(1).
  3. The Peace House(1) team comprising Harshita and Mallicka were declared the WINNING TEAM.
  1. Gurpreet of Unity House was declared the Second Runner-up(Individual Mooter).
  2. Mallicka of Peace House was declared the First Runner-up(Individual Mooter)
  3. Rama of Love House was declared the BEST MOOTER.
  1. The Second Runner-up prize for the Best Memorial was bagged by Bhoomica and Niyati of Peace house(2).
  2. The First Runner-up prize for the Best Memorial was bagged by Gurpreet and Anamika of Unity house(1).
  3. The BEST MEMORIAL PRIZE was bagged by Yash Sahai and Sanskriti of Love house(2).

The grand event came to an end with the felicitation of the judges and the singing of the National Anthem.

Inter House Group Singing Competition (Primary Section)

The participants were full of zeal and enthusiasm. They had put their heart and soul to win the competition. The performances were judged on the basis of vocal skills, clarity, presentation and choice of song. The judges for the event, Ms. Durgesh Singh and Ms. Sonal Srivastava had a tough time judging the peformances.

The event was graced by the benign presence of our Respected Head Mistress Mrs. Mala Yadav who encouraged the students with her words of wisdom. She congratulated all the participants for their wonderful performance.
