Many countries including India have announced complete lockdown in view of corona virus outbreak and advised people to stay at home. In this tough time when schools have closed, we at City Montessori School, Anand Nagar Campus decided to provide our students with help through online classes which involved Google classroom and Zoom Cloud Meeting.
Looking at the severity of the situation, there was an urgent need to aid our students with help required to cover their syllabus and stay in touch with their studies and curriculum. This required great discipline and organization. The study plans were created, reminders were set, meeting requests were sent and students were helped with their logins to join Google classroom.
Online Classes provided a platform where teachers and students could have out-of-class learning. Teachers also created broadcast message study groups to share topics and assignments with students from their homes.
For students, it was a different experience altogether who took online classes with great zeal and enthusiasm. Teachers facilitated discussion and virtual teaching methods during online classes and students exhibited active participation.
To connect and brief the parents about various aspects of school curriculum, Orientation sessions were organised. To provide opportunities to the students to explore and express their talents Hobby classes were also conducted for the students.
