Republic Day Celebration at Anand Nagar Campus-The Constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949, and came into effect on 26th January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country's transition towards becoming an independent republic. 26th January was chosen as the Republic Day because it was on this day in 1929 when Declaration of Indian Independence was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status offered by British Regime.Special Assemblies and various activities were organized across the campus to celebrate the day. Significance of the day was shared with the students, of Mahatma Gandhi to be presented at the 70th Republic Day parade was shared by Junior students.
