Objectives
The solo instrumental competition showcases individual talent, allowing musicians to demonstrate technical skills and great artistry. The aim is to build and foster elements of music through the ABRSM repertoire while building confidence on stage.
Insightful Attention
- The participant must showcase a performance of a specific composition belonging to ABRSM repertoire (syllabus).
- The participant must provide the organisers with three copies of the score of the ABRSM piece which they will perform.
- The participant should either accompany the soloist or bring the piano accompaniment in a pen drive (Mp3 wave format) as the organisers will not provide an accompanist at the venue.
- An additional weightage of three points will be granted for performances featuring rare or unique instruments.
- The performance should not be supported by a Conductor.
- The participants must wear formal attire and not their school uniform.
- The backdrop will be provided by the organisers. No props required.
