“Where words fail, music speaks.”
– Hans Christian Andersen
Music transcends the limitations of language in profound ways. There exist emotions, nuances, and depth of feelings that words alone struggle to capture adequately. Music, with its intricate melodies, harmonies, rhythms, and textures, evokes these intangible experiences directly and viscerally. It resonates with the human spirit, tapping into a more primal and emotional dimension of our being that often eludes verbal expressions.
It is with immense pleasure and a profound sense of pride that I look forward to witness the forthcoming Conferênza Internazionale di Música, from 21 to 24 August 2025. This remarkable venture taken up by City Montessori School Rajajipuram Campus I, is not merely an event—it represents a momentous beginning of a journey of self-discovery through musical expressions.
The conference has been meticulously designed to offer unique opportunities for our students to interact with renowned musicians, composers, and musicologists from around the world, broadening their horizons and enriching their educational experiences.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
– Helen Keller
As this timeless adage suggests, hosting this prestigious international event in collaboration with the esteemed Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) is truly a memorable achievement. The ABRSM’s century-long dedication in music perfectly complements our school’s vision of nurturing well-rounded individuals with deep appreciation for arts. This initiative aligns beautifully with our commitment to holistic education as imbibed in us by our Founder Manager, Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi and our Founder Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi.
The skills and sensibilities developed through musical education – discipline, teamwork, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and creative thinking – are precisely the qualities needed for success in our increasingly complex and interconnected world. The Management is confident that this conference will be a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on all who attend it. This would further solidify City Montessori School’s reputation as a beacon of academic and artistic excellence.
Under the mentorship of our Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, a leader who never stops to channelise the rhythm within us, City Montessori School Rajajipuram Campus I is ready to commence the musical journey once again.
Such events not only require countless hours of planning and coordination but also the executive skills to bring together such a diverse programme catering to various musical styles and genres. Let us take a moment to recognise the tireless efforts of Mrs Nisha Pandey, Senior Principal, CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, along with her staff in bringing this event to life. Their commitment to enriching the students’ experiences is truly commendable.
As we eagerly anticipate the melodious days ahead, let us conclude with another profound reflection from Plato, “Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
May the Conferênza Internazionale di Música embody this spirit of artistic transcendence, educational enrichment, and community celebration.
