Lucknow, 2 October: City Montessori School celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi virtually with great enthusiasm and joy, conveying the message to follow his principles and ideals. The programme commenced with virtual lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. In their succinct address, the Chief Guest Shri Brajesh Pathak, Minister for Law and Justice, Uttar Pradesh and CMS founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi gave the message of imbibing Bapu's ideals in our lives. Nearly three thousand CMS teachers and staff joined the online programme dressed in white Khadi clothes and added to the significance of the celebrations. The occasion was also marked by the presence of CMS Founder-Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi; CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi; Superior Principal and Head of CMS Centre for School Improvement, Ms Susmita Basu; Principals of all CMS Campuses and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Shri Brajesh Pathak, Minister for Law and Justice, Uttar Pradesh paid his respects to the Father of the Nation and said that, ‘CMS is bringing international fame to the city of Lucknow and its students are realizing the spirit of Jai Jagat and Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam. Thousands of students who have crossed the portals of the school have taken up important administrative careers and are serving humanity. He further said that the records that CMS has set in education and social sector under the guidance of Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi are difficult to even envisage in the present time. I hope that very soon CMS becomes the best school not only in the city but that of the world.
