'Lucknow Declaration' released at 'International Chief Justice's Conference'

Resolution to continue efforts till formation of one World Parliament, one World Government, and an effective International Legal System passed

Lucknow, 22 November: While addressing the eminent jurists, judges, and other dignitaries of various countries of the world on the fourth and concluding day of '22nd International Conference of Chief Justices of the World' being organized online by City Montessori School, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Keshav Prasad Maurya said that we are indebted to CMS in its continuous efforts to promote unity, peace and fraternity in society. The school has put the city of Lucknow on the world map. In his address delivered on the occasion, Dr Mahendra Singh, Minister of Jal Shakti and Flood Control, UP, said that India is one of the largest democracies of the world and it has been a forerunner in its mature commitments promoting peace and unity in the world. Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, and the chief justices and legal luminaries as well as political figures from all over the world, also put up their views and called for a New World Order.

On the fourth and concluding day of the conference today, the convener of the 'International Chief Justice's Conference', Dr Jagdish Gandhi, released the outcome of the four days deliberations of jurists in the form of 'Lucknow Declaration' at a press conference held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Dr Gandhi stated that after four days of intense deliberations and discussions, the jurists and legal luminaries from 50 countries of the world have resolved that they would not rest until a World Government, one World Parliament and an effective international legal system comes in place.
