Lucknow, April 8: The 4th day of 9-day International Children's Film Festival (ICFF-2018) began with lighting the lamp ceremony at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium by the Chief Guest, Dr Mahinder Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Rural Development, Integratged Village Development, Medical and Health, UP. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Mahinder Singh said that educational films play an important role in the all-round development of children. Educational movies build the character of children, increase their will-power and inspire them to do great things in life. He emphasized that the educational entertainment being provided to the children at this Festival, will deeply impact the children's psyche and he heartily thanked the CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi for this. It may be mentioned here that the 9-day ICFF-2018 is being organized by Films Division of City Montessori School from 5 to 13 April at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. The festival is totally free of charge for one and all and has the dual purpose of instilling human and divine values in children leading to their character development through educational films. Educational and inspirational children's films of 94 countries are being screened here.

Today, the fourth day of International Children's Film Festival (ICFF-2018) glittered with the august presence of film and TV artistes Gazala Selmin, Naman Jain, Riya Shukla and Suhani Bhatnagar, who added a special lustre to the whole show. The gathering of thousands of students and youth welcomed them with open heart.

The 4th day of Children's Film Fest was marked by the bubbling enthusiasm of the students and overwhelming support of parents and teachers for the healthy edutainment that these films provided. Parents, guardians, brothers, sisters and friends of children came in large number to watch educational films being shown free of charge. The festival is significant as the parents and teachers also seemed very impressed by this film festival. On the 5th day of ICFF-2018 today, more than 11,000 students from 36 schools viz Gyan Deep School, Saraswati Shishu Mandi, Wisdom Valley Cnvent School, Rajkiya Balika Inter College, Sarvodaya Montessori School, Dr Muurari Lal Inter College, Best Career Girls Inter College, CDSN Inter College, M.L. Higher Secondary School etc. enjoyed the educational children's films and felt greatly inspired.

Several educational children's films from India and abroad including Rocket, Missing Child, Our Five Fingers of Defence, The Snack, Land without Evil, It Rains Slowly, A Dog's Heart, Keep Going, Knowledge, Summer with Mondey King, Nanhi Neend, The Silence of the sky, Bapu Ke Saath, Behind the Blue Door, A Beautiful Mistake, Chocolate, Virasat etc. were screened today. Films of various languages are screened with English and Hindi sub-titles to make them understandable.
