CMS creates a better future for all children by maximising their opportunities
through quality education and initiatives for unity and development
The 'Annual Function' of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, held at the campus auditorium, turned out to be a great success and parents were thrilled to watch the blooming and blossoming talents of their children on stage as they sang and danced. The colourful cultural items were greeted with loud clapping and applause by the eager parents and guardians. Earlier, the CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi along with the Principals of various different campuses of CMS, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. The programme began with 'School Prayer' that filled the hearts of audience with divine love and glory followed by All Religion and World Peace Prayer wherein students were holding National Flags of various countries in their hands and proclaiming 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' very effectively. They presented several cultural items like folk dances, choir, drill, aerobics, pre‐primary items etc. presenting a unique view of unity in diversity, cooperation, mutual understanding and team work and left the audience awe‐struck. Presentation of World Parliament was another interesting item wherein students emphasized on enforceable international judicial system in order to establish peace and unity across the globe.
On 21 August, the girl students of CMS met Major General Paresh Puri, GOC, Central Command under the leadership of CMS Founders Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi and Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, Mrs Vera Hajela and presented 15000 hand‐made rakhis to be forwarded to the Indian soldiers deputed at the borders.
The outstanding CMS students won 9 medals including 7 golds in Regional Taekwondo Championship organized under the aegis of council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). This competition was organized recently at the Jesus and Mary Convent School, greater Noida wherein student of several reputed schools of Uttar Pradesh participated. Ambika Singh and Akshita Ghildiyal of CMS Mahanagar Campus won gold medals respectively in 63 Kg in 49 kg weight category and Ayushi Singh and Pragya Pandey of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II won golds in 68 Kg weight category. Mahika Gupta of CMS Station Road Campus won gold in 35 Kg weight category.
Aditya Rai and Soumya Singh, two talented Class X students of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I won the Best Team award in an Inter‐school Debate Competition organized under the aegis of Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), UP & Uttarakhand at zonal level. Aditya Rai also won the title of Best Speaker in the same competition.
taking training for skills of teaching at CMS Kanpur Road Campus and understanding the CMS pedagogy. When these teachers will go back to Thailand after getting trained in CMS methodology, they will further enhance the teaching methodology and ways to impart quality and meaningful education in their school and will also promote CMS pedagogy.The teachers Mr Danuphol, Mr Phirom, Mr Narongrit, Ms Piyarat, Ms Wikanda, Ms Kusumawadee, Mr Natthawat, Ms Benjamart, Mr Charoemphol, Ms Chuleeporn, Ms Juthamas, Ms Sasithorn and Ms Rungnapha are here under the leadership of their Principal, Ms Siriya; Academic Head, Ms Rungrat and Assistant Academic Head, Mr Kittiphan.
During their stay here, the delegation arrived from Thailand learnt about the various interactive sessions organised by CMS for making teaching more impacting and other interactive and the modern teaching methodologies like audio‐visual aids, white boards and smart classes etc. The teachers closely observed educational activities of CMS like SUPW, JYEP, IAYP, Eco Club, CISV, Model Class Presentation, House Activities etc. and they also learnt to make teaching methods more interesting and useful.
National Sports Day was observed at all CMS campuses to pay a tribute to Major Dhyan Chand, a legendary figure in the Indian and World Hockey, on his birthday on 29 August. Different inter‐house sports competitions were held in which sportspersons of all the four houses, Love, Hope, Peace and Unity played with great enthusiasm displaying true sportsmanship.
