CMS creates a better future for all children by maximising their opportunities
through quality education and initiatives for unity and development
The 9‐day 10th International Children's Film Festival, ICFF‐2018 organized from 5 to 13 April 2018 by the Films Division of CMS concluded with a grand closing ceremony inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium on 13 April. At the award ceremony of ICFF 2018 organised on 11 April, the best children's films from all over the world were awarded cash prizes worth 10 Lac rupees. The Chief Guest of this special occasion, Mr Rajesh Agarwal, Minister for Finance, UP, gave away the trophies, certificates and cash awards to the winners in different categories. It may be mentioned that the best educational children's films of 94 countries were screened free of charge at this film festival. The well‐known personalities from films and TV who graced the ICFF 2018 included actors, Raza Murad, Mukesh Khanna, Anup Soni, Aashika Bhatia, Smita Mohla, Gazala Selmin, Anirudh Dave, Sonal Sehgal; Comedian Dipoo Srivastava; Mr India 2017, Jitesh Singh Deo; Miss UP, Ms Shefali Sood; singers Abhijeet Ghoshal and Anupama Raag; script writer, Atul Tewari; film director Suhail Tatari; film producer Mr Aashish Singh and child actors Darsheel Safari, Suhani Bhatnagar, Siddharth Nigam, Prabhjyot Singh, Anushka Sen Bhavesh Balchandani, Riya Shukla, Rudra Soni, Dev Joshi, Ameya Pandya, Aarav Shukla, Avneet Kaur, Naman Jain, Riya Shukla.
International Day of Human Space Flight, as declared by the United Nations, was observed at many CMS campuses on 12 April 2018. The day is celebrated to reaffirm the important contribution of space science and technology in achieving sustainable development goals and increasing the well‐being of States and peoples, as well as ensuring the realization of their aspiration to maintain outer space for peaceful purposes. It may be mentioned that every year in June, CMS sends its students on a trip to NASA wherein they closely experience the space activities. CMS students also get an opportunity to know the various aspects of space research like launching pad, simulation, real life models, Kennedy Space Centre Complex, Rocket Assembly building etc.
CMS Asharfabad Campus organized its 'Open Day Celebrations' on 14 April at the beautifully decorated school premises with great joy and enthusiasm. A large number of students participated in the celebrations to showcase their childlike talents that left the parents and guardians mesmerized with their skills. Melodious rendition of songs, music and several creative activities brought the students' talents to the fore. The parents eagerly took a round of the campus appreciating the broader and bolder education policy of CMS and the school's efforts to impart quality education.
