The National Finals of The Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter School Debate Competition-2016 and the prize distribution of Albert Barrow Memorial All - India Inter - School Creative Writing Competition - 2016 took place on 25th September, 2016 at WUCC Kanpur Road. The Debate was held in two categories (Category I for ISC students and Category II for ICSE, class X and below). The event was graced by eminent Guests from the Council -Mr. Richardo Soler, Mr. Mohan Chandran, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhatia, Assistant Secretaries, CISCE, Miss Annu Arora Tandan, Education Officer, CISCE and Miss Rajshri Majumdar, Administrative Member, CISCE. There were 6 teams in category I and 9 teams in category II. The Chief Guests for the two categories were Dr. V.P. Singh, H.O.D English University of Lucknow and Mr Jayant Krishnan respectively. The Moderators were Mrs. Surabhi Modi Sahai and Mr. Divjyoti Das C.E.O. CLAT POSSIBLE respectively.
The judges for the Category I were Dr. Matriya Priyadarshi, Professor University of Lucknow and M.E.L., Dr. Seema Singh Katiyar, Associate Professor, A.G.D.C. and Miss Suman Bhagchandani, Assistant Professor, Amity University,Lucknow and the judges for category II were Mrs. Lalita Pradeep, Principal, DIET, Professor Nasreen and Dr. Meenakshi Pahwa from University of Lucknow. The School Founder Manager Dr. Jagdesh Gandhi, Roshan Fourrohi and the Principals of the various branches also attended the event. The team behind the successful conduct of the event was led by the branch Principal Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran. The debate was lively and intellectually stirring. WINNERS OF CATEGORY I (CLASSES XI & XII)
Open day was celebrated on 23rd April 2016 at CMS, Kanpur Road Branch with great fervour. The parents were warmly welcomed and ushered by the melodious chants of the school band. The whole atmosphere was charged with positive vibrations. The children – being the brilliant ambassadors for the school displayed a broad range of their abilities and skills with great enthusiasm. The purpose of this day is to establish a lasting and pivotal relationship between the schools and the stakeholders of the society (Parents). The works on display were –
JUNIOR SECTION :
PRIMARY SECTION : The classrooms were beautifully decorated and the theme of the celebration was “Conservation of nature, flora and fauna“. Children participated in art and craft activities, while parents took part in Flower Arrangement, Salad Decoration and Nutritive Tiffin Competitions. Prizes were given to the winners by the Head Mistress Ma’am Mala Yadav. Parents were very happy and appreciated the teachers for their hard work and perseverance.
PRE-PRIMARY : The entire event revolved around the very relevant topic of ‘Green Earth Clean Earth’ The class rooms wore a festive look – decorated with craft work related to various aspects of the larger topic ‘Go Green’. A baby show fancy dress competition and art competition was organized for the children of Montessori Nursery and Kindergarten respectively. In the class rooms various activities such as rhyme competition for Montessori, Paper tearing and pasting competition for nursery and art competition for Kindergarten were held Eminent judges from various walks of life and Dr. Ashish judged the events. Children also enjoyed various rides like merry go round and the giant wheel and tonga rides.
The 4th international school cricket premier league was organised from 8th to 13th Dec 2016. Apex school, Nepal won the tournament. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was the famous Indian cricketer Mr. Piyush Chawla. IPL chairman Mr Rajeev Shukla gave an assurance that the event would get BCCI recognition. Mr Rajkumar Sharma, Dronacharya awardee was the chief guest for the closing ceremony. A host of other celebrities attended the sports gala including Mr. Chetan Sharma, former Indian cricketer.
