World Smile Day


“A warm smile is the universal language of kindness”

World Smile Day is celebrated on the first Friday in the month of October every year. The ability to smile may not seem important, but it has a strong influence on our quality of life and our relationships with others. It is said that a smile is a universal language, expressed in the form of a gesture that greets and welcomes others. City Montessori School, Aliganj II Campus firmly believes that a healthy smile can improve our confidence, help us make friends and help us to succeed in our career and celebrated this day with full enthusiasm. Students of pre-primary made smiles and gave the message to pass the smile to miles. The importance of smile in one’s life is very vital. It improves mood, lower blood pressure, stress relief, stronger immune function.


World Post Office Day


A post office is a customer service facility forming part of a national postal system. Post offices offer mail-related services such as acceptance of letters and parcels; provision of post office boxes and sale of postage stamps, packaging, and stationery. CMS Aliganj II Campus celebrated this day on 9thOctober, 2018 with great zeal of getting the experience of old days in modern era. Pre-primary section organized a visit for the children to a nearby post office where they dropped the Diwali wishes written on post cards in the letter box. Primary Section students wrote letters to their parents and grandparents and made envelopes for posting letters. Junior Section students wrote letters using postcards, inlands and used stamp tickets and envelopes to post them.


International Day of Girl Child


On December 19, 2011, United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world. City Montessori School Aliganj Campus II recognized the International Day of the Girl Child to focus attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. Pre-primary Section student talked and showcased about the “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana” account for girls which was introduced with a mission- Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao to empower girl child, by our present government. Primary Section students spoke about different topics related to women’s like women empowerment and its need, great Indian women, need to save girl child etc. They had a group discussion on education of girl child and promised to respect their mother, sisters and classmates. They were shown a short vedio related to the same and slogan “Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao” was said and explained by a child. Junior section students prepared logos related to protection of girl child.



International Day of Peace

International Day of peace is observed all over the world to devote strength to ideals of peace. This day has been declared on 21st September Peace Day was established by the United Nations in 1981, to encourage the world to work together toward the goal of worldwide peace.Today , City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II marked this day with a global vision of spreading peace and unity among all the communities. The campus was flooded with activities to commemorate this day. The students were told about the significance of day. Students of Nursery have done the colouring activity. Students of K.G. enchanted the slogan “May peace prevail on Earth”. They requested to smile as it is said- Peace starts with a smile. Slogan and peace messages were written by different teachers. These activities will reinforce the value of this unique annual day as an opportunity to engage young ambassadors in creating a more peaceful world. We joined hands to unite in an effort to create the largest reduction of violence globally, in the name of peace on– Peace Day



International Collaboration

Video conferences held with Generation Global, pioneering global Education programme comprised of unconventional dialogue exchange on IDENTITY FOR GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP with their counterparts from Kenya and Pakistan. There was another dialogue exchange with students from Indonesia wherein students expressed their views about festivals in different cultures and countries.


An exchange of sports activities with Eureka International Residential Higher Secondary School comprised of teaching the P.T. and Drill exercises to students.
