“Street plays have been an integral part of Indian tradition. The idea of a street play is to propagate social and political messages in a humorous and sarcastic way and create awareness among the masses. It’s an old tool through which lot of social awareness campaigns have gained strength, such as family planning, girls’ education, child labor etc.
City Montessori School, Aliganj II campus contributed to this awareness campaign through performing a street play at Regional Science City the students of our pre primary section staged a street play, in an attempt to create awareness about cleanliness and hygiene.
Dusshera celebrates the victory of the forces of good over evil. It is also considered to an auspicious day to begin new things in life. CMS Aliganj II Campus, celebrated the festival of Dusshera in the campus with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm.
City Montessori School , Aliganj II campus invited Ms Farida Wahedi ,Head ,Youth Empowerment and Capacity Building to engage young girls and boys, age 12-14 years, to discuss and critically reflect on the issues related to inequitable gender norms and violence.
Daan Utsav is India’s ‘festival of giving’. Launched in 2009, the festival is celebrated every year – commencing on Gandhi Jayanti – from October 2 to 8.Millions of people from all walks of life come together during this week to give their time, money, resources, or skills back to society by participating in events for less privileged.
City Montessori School, Aliganj II campus contributed to this week of sharing and caring in association with an NGO-KHEL.
Students with hand in hand together, with the NGO-KHEL interacted with the children from slum area. Our students played games with the deprived children and shared the joy with them.
Kids Bonanza held on 5th October, 2016 and 6th October, 2016 organized by City Montessori School, Station Road Campus branch. Our Campus City Montessori School, Aliganj II participated in all the events with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a proud moment for us to inform that Aliganj II campus has secured various prizes.
CMS Aliganj II Campus organized a drive against dengue in the nearby area. Wonderful coordination was observed between the staff and the students spreading the awareness about Dengue in the nearby locality.
With people working and living longer, it is increasingly important that we recognize the importance of supporting senior citizens within our society.
